My hard drive from the last year died

Description

And I lost all the data that was on it.  All of it.  So A new hard drive and a clean start it is.  No point in dwelling on what was lost.  I'm looking into TV Paint now for a new animation package to use for my home animating.  It is 1500 dollars or so, which is crazytown, but the more I play with it, the more I like what it has to offer.  I managed to pick the images out of the animation I made and turned them into this gif in a hacky way, but at least there is no watermark.

This animation was also inspired by a single pose from :iconsenshistock: senshistock.deviantart.com/art… in this pack.  Laying back drinking on the couch, I don't do it often but that's what it looks like when I do.

I've been fighting back an art block by coming at it from a different angle, and I've been sculpting things and making molds, and it is a lot of fun to make a physical object that you crafted.  It helps me think in 3 dimensions more than what I had been.

I've also been exercising like a mofo.  Its been more than a year since I started running.  Since then, I haven't been sick.  I've dropped almost 80 pounds (from last august), and it has grown to become a very large and involved part of my life.  This year though I will balance it better with actually animating and other fun projects and not neglecting anyone that has taken the time to hit the +Watch button ^__^

Nice work, and good to hear You keep up the exercising! :)
Healthy body = Healthy mind is not just a saying!

I can only recommend TVPaint, it's definitely a category of it's own. It's like "Photoshop for 2D Animators" in terms of features. They even state they started around the same time as Photoshop, just with a focus on 2D Animation. So it's full of features all geared towards 2D Animation.

The (I think) around 600 pages heavy Userguide is definitely worth the read. If You are really serious about it, I mean. I really recommend reading through it at least once, to discover the features on offer. The first time around You can give it a fast read, just to pick up what's there (it will still take while though (a couple of weeks?), even with a fast read, at least did for me). Then when animating a certain task, You may find Yourself remembering there to be some features that make Your task a lot easier, then You quickly re-check the userguide to find what it was, and the details of how it works and off You go. :)
