This animation didn't run away from me, it flew (10 hours in 2 days), I've been on overtime and weekend work for quite a while, and I'm just coming off of it after a vacation and I had in the back of my mind what I wanted to do or at least how I wanted to start, so when I perused the stock of the always badass sinned-angel-stock I picked out the major poses from this list

A few more I grabbed from her new USB stock collection* which you guys should totally go buy if they're not all sold out**

and I put them into context, and once I did, it became clear that this would be lightning, literally, and then between the stock photos and the story I was making up as I was roughing out the keys, I realized that sometimes there's the constant inspiration of what helps keep you motivated, and then there's the kind of inspiration that hits you like lightning.  Its this weird chill you get, or a moment of clarity, or just being excited to be doing what you're doing till its the only thing you're doing FOR the sake of doing it.

The constant motivation is seeing a master work, or a master's work.  I just got done with Korra Season 3 recently, and REWATCHED Avatar the Last Airbender again, and I'm still blown away by that show.  So much about it is what I want to do, and the world is so damn cool it makes me want to tell stories in it.  I love that series and world, and it drives me to make something someone else can love to the same degree some day.

And more so I want to share whatever I've learned with other people, in some degree, so I have to get better at understanding what I'm doing so I can explain why I do anything that I do.  Everything I put up here is kinda like my training under a waterfall.  I'll have another handout before the end of the month hopefully, so feedback, questions, subject matter, comments are all welcome in that regard.

The challenge here for this animation, is there are 4 layers, all of them are dependent on the initial person's poses, without doing that first I never would have been able to add hair, cloak, wings, LIGHTNING, so it makes sense right, build the foundation first, get the timing DOWN before you move onto the next thing so when you inevitably do have to tweak timing, you aren't tweaking 4 layers at once until you forgot something and demotivate yourself from the get go.
